:( I'm new to this, but if some questions are answered, it will help me out a lot. I have an Ati Radeon 64mb ddr VIVO video card, that I use as a capture for my analogue camcorder. It works great. Can someone explain, how my settings>multemedia>video codecs work in conjuction with my capture card? It seems that some of the video compressors have the settings options greyed out. Can I assume that my system doesn't recognize them? Does this mean my capture card won't work in those settings? What exactly is a WDM driver, say compared to a VFW driver. I want to capture in YUY2 (I hear it's great, along with Huffyuv).
The encoding, for now is straight forward (standard VCD). But all of the info I understand aoout capturing hasn't been chained together in a logical format.
If someone could lead me to a site that linked it all, I would be greatfull.
No offence, this site rocks, but I'm going blind reading all the submits, and hoping, I hit the 1 in 100 that answers my questions.
    System:
    Asus cuslc-2c motherboard(something like that)
    P3 1ghz
    30 gig 7200rpm W.D.
    Sound Blaster Live

  2. your gonna need a bigger drive. A 60min show with alot of darker scenes will be around 28GB for a huffy cap.
