  1. Hello All,
Hoping someone can assist and lead me down a path in fixing a video file I have. I have a video back from 2011 that I need to open. I'm on a MAC. It states it's a .mov file.
The file size is 546.7mb. I tried opening the file in VLC. It imports but the duration time says 0:00. Nor when I click the video does anything play.
I also tried opening the file in Quicktime Player and it states it cannot open the file.

I'm not sure where to begin in finding out if this file is repairable or not and if i'm doing something wrong. Any assistance you guys can provide is greatly appreciated!

  4. It said that I should use Quick time 7 to play it. When I try to import the file into Quicktime 7, it says it's not a video file.

Is this file from a camera? If so, and you can provide a working file from the same device,
there are two or three programs in the software/video repair section of this site that may help
