I just bought an Apex 1531 and am wondering about something...
I only had a VCD to test it with but it wants to lose audio sync sometimes and also sometimes the video moves really fast for a split second kind of like you hit fast forward.
I burned at 8X using verbatim blues with nero 5.5.7.8, encoded with tmpeng, audio done with virtualdub.
any help appreciated
thanks

Hey does this player have a firmware upgrade. I also heard some of the apex players have problems playing vcds even though the manual says it will play them. I bought an apex-3201 for my brother and parents on sale for 49.95each and when I bought it at COMPUSA told me that it wouldn't play vcds or cd-r(w), but I bought them anyways came home and read the player's compatiability list on this site and everyone said it would. and we've had no problems yet .
We were all NEWBIES once and the only stupid question is the one that's not asked? -
There is no firmware upgrade available for this DVD player yet.
I'll be testing a svcd in like an hour made with Ulead, will see what happens.
Was using tmpeng maybe that was a problem?
