My bluray and xbox will not work when plugged into any hdmi port in back of receiver. If I plug them into my hdmi on front panel they work fine. I thought all my hdmi ports were bad in back but my satellite box works on everyone of them. Lost at moment....Any ideas?

do you have the xbox plugged in HDMI port #4 game ?? - http://manuals.denon.com/AVRX4300H/EU/EN/SEHFSYbraltmuz.php#SEHFMLqdlmsdqx

I tried in every port.... only port both works in aux1 port on front panel of unit
-
does the unit have some sort of auto switch mode that switches to the appropriate HDMI connection
when the xbox is turned on ?? -
For troubleshooting, unplug ALL HDMI cables from the Denon. Then, try just your XBox on each HDMI. Repeat for Blu-Ray. Also check the Denon input assignment menu to make sure you don't have some of the ports re-assigned.

Yup I have tried all that and still xbox and bluray only works on front port.... I tried another bluray player on back panel and of course it works. The bluray and xbox are 4k so I am wondering if this is playing a factor. But why does the front aux play it is what is stumping me

Check the HDMI cables to make sure they are compatible with 4K.
Check the Denon upscale options for each HDMI port.
Make sure you don't have a zone2 or zone3 setting that is screwing things up.
Final option: backup all your Denon settings, so you can restore them later, and then do a factory reset. -
So bought a new receiver...pioneer elite lx503 and low and behold Xbox not working on back ports but again will work on front aux port. What the hell am I missing here?

I don't have any of this devices, my receiver it's a Onkyo, it might use a different name but the settings are the same.
HDMI does data transfer, between the receiver and the transmitter it must have a handshake, otherwise no audio or video.
You can buy another 100 receivers and it will do the same, this is a copy protection name HDCP 2.2. I have no intention to buy any 4k devices so I don't know if there is any splitter or device to strip down HDCP protection.
Why it works on the aux port then?
Because it is the only port you are allowed to do this, maybe a HDMI Hub connected to this port might get you going.
Here another take on it:
