My camcorder Mini DV (14 years ago) broke so I borrowed my sisters to record the birth of my second daughter. It was last minute and didn't have time to ask my sister how to use the camcorder. We didn't realize til after the fact that it was on the monochrome setting. Is it possible to convert to a regular/color video?

That original info is long gone. I've heard of methods to convert B&W to color but it's not going to be exact and is probably not easy.

There are no automated techniques that work well. It's done with old B/W movies by hand painting with computer assist for frame to frame motion.
