  1. I do not know if anybody can help me with this but I will aks anyway?

I take my DVDs that I own and Rip them to my DeskTop PC Hard Drive.

And I Watch them as is I just Play the VOB Files.

Now I have a 128 GB SD Card that I can put into a USB Stick I have.

So I Converted all the VOB Files I have on my DeskTop PC Hard Drive using Format Factory to MPEG4.

I pick Frame Size 720x480 NTSC DVD.
    Frame Rate 30.
And for Aspect Ratio I pick Auto.

Because if the VOB File is in Widescreen I want it to stay as is.
And if it is in Standard I want it to stay as 4:3.

So all goes good and I put them all on my SD Card then put this in my USB Stick.

I then Play the USB Stick on my Widescreen TV and all looks good.

But one thing is going on?
Both Widescreen and Standard Files play good and look good.
But they all have a 4 Inch Black Matt around the Sides and Top.

I mean if it is a Widescreen Video playing it has Black Matt on Top and Bottom and Sides.
And if it is a Standard 4:3 Video it still plays with Black Matt on Top and Bottom and Sides.

Now like I say the image still looks good and stays in the Right Ratio.

But why is it playing with Black Bars all the way around?

I was thinking does MPEG4 not Support Playback on TVs?

Is it a recent tv? Mp4 with AVC/HEVC should be fine. Do the files play on the computer as you expected?

Sounds like you converted the videos wrong, try using vidcoder,it will set the right viewing ratio in that no black bars will added if not needed.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
