    Hey!

I heard that it was questions about premiere guides. What kind of guides would you like to have? I will do guides for you with pleasure.

I think we need a guide how to edit with Premier. Filter settings, how to build a timeline and export to a standalone MPEG encoder.
    Thanks in advance.

Hmm.. like how to fade in/out audio, video, add transitions, rolled text (motion section). One thing i thought about is have to make the move go backwards, it's very easy to do when you know how it, but very hard to find out how you do it. I could also try to do a more advanced guide on how to make you for exempel fly (Blue/Green effects).

    Things like that you mean?

  4. I think we also could use a guide on how to start a perfect edit-session.
Like what codec should we use to have good quality and not to much HD-space, what codec not to use if we want to ad complex transitions(like huffyuv; if you use this codec with transitions it goes wrong)

I think that the average editor has about 30 GB free hd-space.
If you do everithing by the book, Then 30GB isn't enough.

    Tnx in advance.

    Canon HI8mm Camcorder

I'm not the right person to make guides for codec issues and what codec to use, but i totaly agree that guides for that should be done. I'll tell baldrick to fix it hehe!

    More proposal!

  6. Well the idea is pretty OK.

    But!!!
If you make a guide, that is understandable for everybody, you have to talk about a lot, lot of things. If you want that, the guide will be very, very big. An other thing is that not everybody uses Premiere. Comes by that you have to tell about a lot of things, like problems that may occur.
So the the idea is good, but I thing it will take a very long time to make one, and that there will come a lot of questions on how to do that, that did not work, and things like that. After all, Premiere is definately not TmpgEnc, and watch how many problems there are with TmpgEnc...
And IF you make a guide, you have to make a totally new subject to place topics called Premiere. And than of course, you also have to make a place for Mediastudio / Videostudio users, and programs like that...

Already changing your mind? So again, the idea is good, but if somebody wants to start with Premiere they should go to http://www.adobe.com there you can find a users guide, and they also have a forum, with a lot of persons that know almost everything about Premiere... So, just leave the job to Adobe, and concentrate on TmpgEnc, and programs like that.

  7. Since media is realy cheap both HD and CDs (60GB HD $120 US OEM). I bought 100 CDs for only $15. So I still wonder why people ask for how to put 2 hrs on one cd and use different compression programs while they are capturing them. So, if you prepare a guide I think you should address the quality of the picture not the size. And afterwards how you can convert to SVCD, XSVCD, DVD and so on compatible with majority of DVD players? Thanks

That already exists on the site and does not belong to the subject
Post a new topic for that I think. What I meant with this was "how to guides" for editing, not encoding. I'm worthless in encoding

This is what I'm planing to do so far:

Simple guides on how to tone in and out the audio and make text roll.

Then I though of make guides on how to use bluescreen, and make an example that you can download and see. The same thing with reverse the movie. I thought about to make example because you then got an ide when to use it and what It will be like.

I think this would be OK.
It will be usefull to show on how to make the little more advanced options of Premiere, instead of making a full guide, about how to use the timeline, and stuff like that, especially the bluescreen, that will be very good; it gives a lot of problems to many.
