Can anyone recommend a utility (preferably freeware) to monitor HDD access? What I want is to know which application is currently accessing (mainly writing) the HDD/SSD and what file/folder is being used.

When I run Resource Monitor, I only get an empty window. Can anyone think why?

Problem solved by enabling "Use visual styles on windows and buttons" under Advanced System Settings, Performance Options, Visual Effects.

But I don't really like to use visual styles. How can I have Windows Classic Theme and be able to run Resource Monitor?
