Has anyone here heard of something called "Make MKV"?

Someone on YouTube did a video about it.

It's said to allow ripping (any?) blu-ray disc. Has anyone here had any experience in using it, and if so, would you comment on what you think of it?

I use in for DVD's. I didn't know that it works with Blu-Ray discs, but then I wouldn't want a 50gb video file either.

With DVD's, it simply takes the video, audio, and subtitle files and places them into a mkv container. The video and audio are not converted, thus there is no quality loss.

The only downside, is the file sizes are larger than if you performed a conversion. For DVD material, this isn't a huge deal and you want to have files with the best quality possible. For Blu, file sizes can be huge.

I have used this for all my DVD's and Blu ray discs. Then removed items within the MKV that I don't need and transferred the entire collection to my NAS. File size is not an issue for me but maintaining original video and audio quality is. Excellent program...
