I bought a SONY editing kit that came with a pincale capture card and studio dv.
I just upgraded to 1.2 which makes me sick that I bought the card 3 days after studio decided to stop continuing making updates for this product. They want the customer to BUY the NEW software to upgrade. What a CROCK of crap... Any rate..
I am trying to get any help or ideas on codecs to capture with. I have a Sony TRV-140 Digital8 cam.
I am capturing to AVI (this seems to be the only way I know how? OR available?) I have a 60 gig HD. SO I have plenty of room.
What codec do any of you use to capture using studio DV? I tired a few last night and can NOT seem to see any diference?
I downloaded virtudub but it keeps locking up on me and is hard to understand.
Last night I made a short video tape about 1 minute long. I then captured it to avi, conveterted it to svcd using tmpeg then burned it as a svcd using nero. All went well except my dvd player kept pausing during playback?Like hunting.....
But the end result was great...
Any capture codec info would be great guys... I went to the pinacle site and they suggested to capture right to mpeg but I can NOT see how? When I open settings in capture I can set either svcd or vcd but it still captures as an AVI?
Thanks Spankey
