Using HDHomerun and TVHeadend I'm recording tv shows and then editing them using Avidemux to get rid of commercials and padding. Usually everything is fine. Some times Avidemux is only able to see say 8 mins of a 30 minute show. VLC and Classic Media Player able to play the entire show no problem. The shows are recorded in TS format. Anybody have any clues of the problem or how to fix the problem? Thanks Skye.

Some programs handle errors in transport streams better than others. It's also possible for video properties to change during a transmission. For example ads may roll at a different resolutions than the main program. Some programs will choke on that type of change. For example:
