  1. Hello ! I have an mov file (its length is 15:42) and one of my customers owns it. I would like to know that is it possible to repair an mov* file using hex editor?
When I start the movie with VLC, the movie is completely black and there's an weird noise (it sounds same than in the old TV) mov file repair software (Stellar Phoenix Recovery For Video) managed to get 2:52 minutes out

    Thank you for all

is this file from a camera? There are a couple of tools that require a good file from the same device to use as a template
    to repair the bad file.

    https://www.videohelp.com/software/untrunc

    untrunc is linux only

Get a reference file from the camera owner if you can.
Even with the file, repair is not guaranteed, but it increases your chances

  12. If you want a file diagnosed, you're going to have to post the file that needs to be diagnosed, as davexnet said.
