Sony DVP-S550D Problems

Ok... I got one of these players.... and im having a problem....

When I press the power button... the light goes green for about 5 seconds... then goes back to red... or sometimes the player will power up fine....

any ideas?

I have this player and over the 2 years I have had it I have noticed that you have to hit the buttons on the front twice to get it to do anything...I have never had the problem you talk of, but if you are trying to hit the open close button to bring it out of standby...hit it twice and see what happens, I have always always had to hit it twice...and I don't know why...

The problem is it's a SONY.

however My parents have a brand new apex and it does the same thing
