  1. After EVERY reboot I do, I have to re-install EzGrapper for it to work !!

I have set it to use the desktop as storage place ... and shall say it does ...

After EVERY reboot - now I have tried 6-8 times - it pollutes my whole desktop with empty files - just running loose like a goose

You can't stop it unless you KILL the program !

Where can I get an updated version ?

How do you know it's the program you mention that's 'polluting' your desktop? What does 'polluting my desktop' mean? Can you explain further?

Doesn't the program have an 'About' box? Update link? What's the company name? Have you been there?

Not even Google knows about "EzGrapper", except for the fact that it is mentioned in this thread. Google does know of EZgrabber software, which seems to have been included with Diamond Multimedia's VC500, as well as some crappy USB capture devices from no-name companies that offer no customer support.

Development on EZgrabber probably ended some time ago. Perhaps you need to consider using different software

I'm not gonna buy yet another USB interface - it's my 3. - I'll just spread all around that Diamond 500 is NOT working with Windows 10 !

try to go into proprieties/comptability and set it for windows 7

and for what i've read ezgrabber is only usefull for it's driver

capture with another software virtualdub (advanced) or amarectv (may be easier)

use a loseless codec for capture (huffyuv , big files)

and recompress it with a good encoder for use (avstodvd or vidcoder)

run Ccleaner to get garbage out of your system

I don't know if Virtualdub works well with Windows 10. VirtualDub2 could be a better choice with Windows 10.
