It work sort of nice with a very good quality of colors ... way better than my last interface.
I've set it to record a whole Video8 tape - let's call the file MasterFile - and then I will cut this MasterFile file into smaller clips with Reaper.
BUT there are some "hickUps" in the masterfile now and then - video and sound is freezing and then 5-10 seconds later it proceeds - but something is missing compared to the tape !
Is it a kind of buffer-problem or what ... ?

If you capture the same tape again do you get problems in the same location? If so, you probably have time base problems. If problems occur at different locations each time it's probably a capture problem (antivirus kicking in, or something like that).

Now I made a new capture and after 3-4 minutes it stops and tells me the
"The movie is copyright protected !"
... it MY OWN recordings from way back !
How can I get rid of that ? -
Unstable signal is fooling your converter into thinking it sees Macrovision anti-pirating protection. Use a frame synchronizer between the VCR and the converter.
