Is There Any Way To Download Stuff From the BBC?

Are there downloaders for English stuff the same as we've got for sbs and abc in Aus? I'd like to get that 'the cry' thing they're talking about right now..

Depends where "from" are you getting it.
Streamlink supports BBC iPlayer or TVplayer.com, if different source,then need specific link.

You would probably have to have a VPN service as there would be regional blocks.

I use youtube-DL and a VPN for BBC iplayer stuff. Works great.

Yep. I use those here and there. As it happens I couldn't find 'the cry' and finished up using eztv to get it. gripping but miserable if you know what i mean...

youtube dl and windscribe free with a UK IP works some times. I do not know why it only works sometimes. i am guessing if a lot of connections BBc knows it s not a home user but VPN. Windscribe say the paid one will do it, didn't work for me on a trial

I don't live in UK,but i didn't need a VPN at all.

For streamlink i added to commandline:

--http-header "X-Forwarded-For=UK_IP_HERE"

and for youtube-dl:

--geo-bypass-country UK

Both did the trick.

Thanks for posting that but it won't work. i get error geolocation. I am in ireland. tried withand without a vpn.

Windscribe. Completely new to me. I'll look it up, give it a try. Thanks for that. Right now I know of nothing they've got that I might want. Is there a handy spot for perusing the list of currently available (if you've got the right stuff... windscribe, whatever ) serials and movies for download from the BBC?

Just now I'm lost in the Fjallbacka murders but after that I'll be without again and I seem to have done everything/anything good I can find... need a new direction..
