PLEASE HELP! Capture card issues.

Hi! I'm new to the forums, so my apologies if I do something wrong..

I'm desperate for some help as I cannot find any info online as of yet. I have a Pyle PVRC52 Capture device that isnt consistent with recording video and I'm not sure how to address the issues. It recorded fine the first handful of times, (which is all I've ever done with it.. maybe a total of 5 hours of use before the issues began.) but now it'll freeze when ever it wants. Typically after the first recording, sometimes all recordings. The recording light stays on and wont respond to my remote or the stop button. Video still passes from my WiiU to the device and to the TV while frozen. Shows files on flash drive and they are sometimes 0 byte MP4 files. Another issue I've encountered was recording with no audio but video was ok. Then others, no audio and eventually garbled video after maybe 3 mins... Sigh..

I finally invested to start up my youtube channel, however, THIS Pyle is proving to be a pile for sure.. Or am I missing something? I know its not my pc as all the issues stem from the device itself and isnt connected to my pc while recording. I've tried using other flash drives thinking maybe the drive its recording to is the issue, but I'm unsure if its creating problems. Its so random now, it could be either the flash drives or the device for all I know. The drives are properly formatted to FAT32. Maybe I need firmware? and if so, where can I find it?

EDIT: I'm managing to sort of get around it, as irritating as it is. Im stopping the recording after every 10 mins or so and it doesnt freeze. However this is tedious for editing. BUT I'm guaranteed every video after the first to be a garbled mess after a few mins.. Also, in addition to everything, Arcsoft wont connect to my PVRC52. It always says "not available because its open with another application..." I've tried reinstalling the drivers etc with no success.. Have no clue what might be using it behind the scenes.
