  1. hi all,
    all my vcd`s have played on my dvd player and all my friends players, but when dad got a dvd player and it doesnt want to know, it says something about a PBC menu in the instruction but this is something ive never had todo, as i said they play in my machine. pls help. thx

    PBC contains the actual play-/selection structure of your disk.
    If you use aps like Nero you wont be seing them because they're create in the background. But every VCD2.0 and SVCD has a PBC (without it, the cd wouldn't been accepted by most standalone players).

    If you're using tools like VCDwizard (get it at http://www.labdv.com/vcdwizard/) you have complete control over the creation of the PBC. With most other soft (like Nero) you don't.
    If you don't add a PBC-menu, be sure to create at least 1 PBC-item which will be played by the PBC to launch the VCD (in this case to play the movie). Otherwise I would suggest to create VCD1.1 (which you also can via VCDwizard), which doesn't allow PBC (with vcd1.1 you play the VCD like a conventional audio-cd) and just plays all movie-track sequentially from the cd (starting from the beginning).

    thanks for that, i think i`ll try the VCDwizard prog as i have been using Easy CD Creator 5 and see if that remedys the problem.
