    I'm looking for some good settings to encode my DV files with.

    My clips are usually short, 5-10 minutes, so i'm not too concerned about space.

    What tmpgenc settings do you usually use? Any other hints or suggestions are appreciated.

    I'm making SVCDs or modified SVCDs with these.

    I am looking for the same info for the same type of project. I find that the tmpgenc template settings for SVCD ntsc produce an inferior picture with a sharp graininess when converting DV captured avi files.
    Have you applied any filtering? or played with any of the settings?
