My authored Blu-ray video only 4 GB in size. If I burn it on a DVD, can a Blu-ray player play it?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

A Blu-ray player that includes AVCHD support might play it if the bit rate isn't too high. (Max total bitrate for AVCHD on DVD is 18 Mbit/s) DVD5/9 media doesn't support using the higher bit rates that Blu-ray often uses. The transfer rates of DVD media are too low
AVCHD was invented to allow authoring HD video and burning to DVD media. Very old Blu-ray players may not support AVCHD, but many recent ones do.Ignore list: hello_hello, tried, TechLord, Snoopy329 -
AVCHD is different from Blu-ray.
If the OP's file structure is really Blu-ray, many if not most players may spit the 4.7 GB disc out even though the bitrate and VBV parameters were set for DVD media. My old SONY BD player (now dead unfortunately) however used to play such discs. My newer Samsung Blu-Ray players accept Blu-ray file structures only when the video stream is fully Blu-ray compliant and burnt on a 25GB disc.Last edited by Sharc; 16th Jan 2019 at 02:20.
