Smart Cutter PS/TS supports 1920 x 1080 video, but not every possible type of 1080p video. You need to tell us more. What kind of file is it? What type of audio and video does it contain? A MediaInfo report might help us answer your question. Open the file and select "Text" from the View menu, then cut and paste the results into a post in your thread.

What produced this video? Most editing software has trouble with variable frame rate video (such as cellphone video) and with some transport streams recorded from TV broadcasts, which may have corrupt frames or missing frames or other irregularities.

Also, Smart Cutter PS/TS like other editing software doesn't support every type of audio and video. For example, MPEG-2 or H.264/AVC video is supported but not H.265/HEVC, and AAC or DolbyDigital/AC3 audio is supported but not DTS and Dolby TrueHD.

I don't use Handbrake very often, but I know that it produces variable frame rate video using its default encoder settings. (The MediaInfo report for your video says it was encoded using Hanbrake and uses variable frame rate.) Every video editor that I have heard of has problems with variable frame rate video.

If you encoded this video yourself, you could try encoding the source again using Handbrake's constant frame rate setting to see if that makes any difference when editing with Smart Cutter PS/TS.

I use Smart utter for editing TV recordings in 1920x1080 recorded via a Hauppuge HDPVR2 box. I have frequently had problems seeking with the program crashing on either a fast forward click or a movement of the fine scroll slider. I believe I pinned this down to changes in the audio format during the recording as this usually occurs when the main recording is Dolby 5.1 and some of the adverts or pre and post video are just stereo (or vice versa). I have just found that turning off "Enable Audio View Mwter" under the Options button appears to reduce these crashes I haven't had a crash since doing so.

Smart cutter is working well for me now with Enable Audio View Meter turned off and I'm used to it so I will continue using it. It gives me frame accurate editing with only the transitions re-encoded so quality is very well maintained.
