  1. I am curious about what resolution would be best to capture at. Should I capture at 352 x 240 (VCD resolution) or should I capture at a higher resolution and have it converted down. Which is gonna give me the best image on my TV. I know my final resolution has to be 352 x 240 and that is not a problem, I just wonder if I capture at a higher resolution and convert will it give me the better picture, or if I capture at 352 x 240 will that give me the best picture. Any suggestions are welcome, let me know what res. you capture at.

    Thanks In advance

depends on your source...with VHS I would capture at 352x480 and deinterlace to 352x240...now if you are talking about satellite or laserdisc, I would go up to 640x480 for satellite and 560x480 for laserdisc and convert down using either bicubic or bilinear (arguments over these two resize methods have arisen, so I would suggest you choose for yourself) along with the deinterlace to take it down to VCD @ 352x240.

*NOTE* you should also look in to doing IVTC with AVISynth...I am not going to explain IVTC if you don't know what that is, I'll just say you can use google...I personally would recommend it, my stuff looks great after I do it.
