    Hi everyone, newbie here.

I came across an educational website recently. In its pages, they have audio lecture files in mp3 format and slide pictures.

I want to convert those files into one video.

Since it's not a photo album with music, perfect timing is very crucial.

I have yet to find a software to do that. Powerpoint does have a record function, but that doesn't help when you already have the audio.

    Please help me.

  2. what format are the "slide pictures" ?

is it an interactive presentation ? where the user is required to advance slides, or click buttons ?

one approach is screen capture software ; another would be to download the slides and audio and make a video using a video editor

There're just pictures. No interactions whatsoever, unless you count scrolling. Here's the website.

Maybe someone has a smarter/faster way to do it, but I don't see a shortcut or "easy" way to do this besides using a video editor. You'd have to time each slide to the audio manually

    1) Download the audio .

    2) Download the slides .

The website makes it more difficult because each slide has the same file name; it's parsed through html code and the position of the scroll bar. So there is no "easy" way to batch download them. You'd have to save them one by one, and I would rename them with appropriate names with a numerical order, 001.jpg, 002.jpg etc... so it's easy to sort in the editor

    3) Import the audio into a video editor and arrange the slides, according to the audio . You have to correlate what the audio is "saying" with the slides manually. In most editors, you would just drag the the right edge of the event to extend the length or duration; but it varies by editor

Each slide resolution is only 960x720, and the jpeg quality is low (there are artifacts) , so the text might not that clear if you watch on a TV.

I think the same, I already saved the whole bunch of the pictures. At this point, the only thing I don't know is what "video editor" should I use.

Can you recommend one? Freeware is preferred. Thank you!

  6. Maybe shotcut, openshot . I'm not up to date on the free editors, I usually use premiere pro
