Copy Protection?

Hi all,

I've been having a problem recently with a few dvds and can't seem to rip them for the life of me. I've formatted/reinstalled software/uninstalled etc. thinking it was something I did... but anyhow,

When I rip a movie (ala smartripper) it shows the full movie time etc. and I goto rip it as usual... shows everything rips okay but when I goto the vob files, half the movie is missing! ;x

Has anyone else encountered this problem and how/if did you fix it? I'm using a slot loaded 16x pioneer which has always been good to me, under winxp.

i have used smartripper and i usally use dvd decryptor, i have never failed yet to rip all the vob files for the entire movie. have you tried another ripper? I use both my A03 and my 116 Pioneers for ripping with 100% sucess rate( the 116 seems better at ripping scratched DVDs too ).
