I have an MGEG-2 file (NTSC) and tried to burn an SVCD using VCDEasy (VCDImager/CDRDAO). The resulting CD was not playable in PowerDVD4.0 ("Error Code 89030000" - Unknown file format"). But PowerDVD was able to play the original mpg file from disk!
After many searching and trying I downloaded a test version of Nero - and the CD burned with Nero was playable in PowerDVD4.0! I also asked a friend to test my CD's with his WinDVD - and here both(!) CD's worked.
I also downloaded the test svcd image from vcdhelp, it was playable with PowerDVD without any problems.
I don't want to buy Nero or WinDVD, I'm still hoping that I can use VCDEasy and PowerDVD.
Any ideas?
TIA!
Matti
P.S.:
If somebody can handle it, here's the XML content for my SVCD as generated by VCDEasy:
