Hey I was trying to record a show on Hauppauge HD PVR 2 1512 model with 5.1 audio.
I compared this with my Elgato, the colours are different. I mean Elgato has lossless colour range, while Hauppauge has a horrid looking colour range.
Here's a comparison:
Hauppauge:

Elgato:

I can tell that Elgato did a lot better coluor correcting than Hauppauge. I tried to set the colour settings on Hauppauge to match Elgato, but didn't go well.
Here's the Hauppauge settings that were default on the capture software:
Even though the Hauppauge raws on the media info says BT.709, but i think the colours are BT.601.Brightness: 14
Contrast: 58
Saturation: 60
Hue: 49
Can anyone help me solve this problem?

One is rec.601, the other rec.709. One is being converted correctly to RGB, the other not.
