Hi, I'm new here and I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have a Magic Sing Karaoke Microphone that uses proprietary Chips/cartridges. The songs, which contain the video and audio, are on this chip. The audio and video connections consist of the Red & White Audio RCA and Yellow RCA connectors. I would like to know if there is a way to connect this to my computer to convert the video/audio to AVI or WMV formats so I can play them on my Karaoke software program. Thank you!

  2. Most desktop computer sound cards have a 3.5 mm line level stereo input jack. All you need is a RCA to 3.5mm converter cable (use Monoprice.com if you don't have one).

A few laptop computers still have a combo line/mic input. You may be able to use that, using the same cable as above.

The final option is an analog audio to USB converter. Here is one that I just picked at random (i.e., I am not recommending this particular model, because I haven't used it myself):

    Digital/Analog Converter

Thank you for your reply johnmeyer! What about the video? Could you recommend a software that would work best?

    Thanks!
