Hi all,
I have a much loved and care worn Sony HVR - A1P camera. I would love to modernise but funds won't allow right now. This camera came out many years ago, and the memory stick it came with is a 32MB (!) Memory Stick Duo Magic Gate. As such I am still using mini DV video cassettes, but I'm working with Final Cut 10 now and I've noticed it doesn't like tape very much. Does anyone know whether the newer Memory Stick Duo's retained the same dimensions as the old ones? Or whether there is an adapter that fits in a Memory Stick Duo slot but holds a smaller card?
Many thanks,
Peebs

You are out of luck, there is no adapter or update you could do to the camera.
If you still want to work with it get an older computer with Windows XP or Linux to capture the tape.
