I ticked off the GOP thing for chapters like VCDeasy says to and they still come out very weird in some movies. Eg. Right now i'm doing Vamp Hunter D bloodlust and different Encodes(diff CQ bitrate yada yada) do different things, sometimes the chapters don't work, other times they skip to near the end, or only goes ahead 5 minutes and so forth.
using CQ at 68
200max 300 min
3 to 2 check box to make the movie 29 fps(it's 23.976)

have you demuxed the mpeg and remuxed it with bbmpeg and scanoffsets first?
tmpeg produces chinese standard mpeg.
i know vcdimager does scanoffsets, but i personally found bbmpeg better.
have you not tried writing your own vcdimager scripts? They are not hard really and you get more control. -
well the weird thing is it worked just peachy with Vampire Hunter D which was 29.796 FPS
then a 23.796 or whatever that is movie I keep trying as 3:2 pulldown yada yada and a million different ways to make a 29 fps movie and the chapters just don't work right.
and BBMPEG hates Win XP even with the patch :|
