  1. Hello,

I have a video file encoded using x265 12-bit and I can't play it on my LG OLED. I would like to convert it into 10-bit without reencoding. Please advise how can I do thhat? if thats not possible what is the best/easy way to achieve it?

    Thanks

I think Handbrake or vidcoder should be able to encode from 12 -> 10 bit. At least it can convert to 10 or 12 bit. So supposing it can read it as well.
AFAIK you have to reencode whole video. But can be wrong (most probably not). Make just small part for test, result coudn't be optimal. IMHO human eye and 12bit

Impossible, sorry. The only way is reencoding it completely.

But reencoding changes everything. And there is no other way to convert a video stream with 12 bit precision into a video stream with 10 bit precision without reencoding it completely.

What exactly is dumb about this fact? Except for your lack of tact and mature manners?
