I do a good deal of train videography and am looking for tripod suggestions.
I love the stability a tripod offers and there is usually no camera movement in my shots. I have a Manfrotto fluid head which pans and tilts smoothly enough.
I am looking for a "travel tripod" which is really light in weight and will be easy to carry around, and which collapses to a small size. Panning/tilting smoothness is secondary to weight. Maybe a monopod if it has some kind of base and can stand and be stable on its own without having to be held onto. It would need to be very stable with hands off. A ball head is out of the question.
Camera is a Sony AX53 which weighs 1.4 lbs. so it does not have to support a lot of weight.
