    What am I doing wrong? trying to add subtitles to avenger infinity war (and others) I've tried different subtitles but the result is the same the converted video has good subtitles but only plays for a few minutes before it ends

    Why even convert and degrade the video quality? Just name the subs the same as the movie (Movie.mkv and Movie.srt) and play it. Or embed the subs in the video, but don't reenciode the video just to hardcode the subs.

    Other than that, maybe explain how the subs were created (downloaded?) and how (and why) you're reencoding the video. No one can guess without more information.

    Because I want to play on the TV so the whole family can watch, I am doing what is recommended add video file click on T add subtitles and convert.
