Need advice with a rip using WinX DVD Ripper Platinum.

Hi, I'm from the UK and am currently converting my DVD library to several hard drives for use in a docking station for viewing on my HTPC. The DVD's are all old English comedies from the 60's and 70's and all issued by the BBC Television company. My call for help concerns one DVD set , namely, " Dad's Army", that WinX refuses to rip. I have also tried using Handbrake but alas same result.
I appreciate that this is an American forum but am hoping that someone from the UK will see this and maybe have the answer to my dilemma.
I have successfully ripped ten other sets but not this one.

Any help would be gratefully received.

the discs may have copy protection that winx & handbrake cannot Handle, use dvdfab to copy the discs.

Hi, thank you for your help. I have found out what the problem was/is, disc1 is the problem it cannot be read by the od. I tried inserting disc2 and it worked straight away.
