    would anyone know why when I try to export a mp3 song to MIDI in the above it shows MIDI on the export as being ghosted am I missing something

    As far as I know there is no way to export MP3 as MIDI in audacity. MP3 is a waveform based audio format, MIDI is notation based. You would need to transcribe the MP3 audio to notes, durations, instruments, etc.
