  1. I had no problems with Aiwa 370 (except MP3 playback - that was a reason why it went back to store shelf).
I've used the Mitsubishi CD-RW (model RW74Q1) and it works fine.
    Hope it will help,

  3. prao,

Yes. I've noticed the strange thing - the cheaper the CD, the better results I've got. The best CDs were those noname (and no print) ones I've bought in Staples in bulk package (50) - very cheap.
BASF and Nashua were no-go for this DVD.
    Strange, isn'it?

So, do you say the cheap CD's (without name and print) work good in Aiwa DVD player. Is branded one has problem with Aiwa.

Can you tell me, do you have any delay in playing the VCD you burned in this Aiwa DVD player. The reason is, for last couple of days, I was testing some VCD's and I tried to play in the DVD player, but it takes some 30 to 35 seconds to recognize the VCD. Sometime, it never recognize it.

    Any idea about this.

    Thanks

  5. prao,

I'm really sorry to tell it, but I am not own this DVD. After it did a lot of problems playing MP3 discs, it went back to the store.

In fact, for the best of my memory, there wasn't significant delay (maybe 10 secs), but I wouldn't bet on it.

The only reason why I tossed this DVD was problematic MP3.

I never had any significant problems playing VCDs.

    Good luck,

  6. I have an aiwa player and have burned vcd's and viewed them with no problem. I am only using CDR's though haven't tried with RW's. Why would you use the expensive RW's over the cdr's anyway? Seems like a waste of money to me.

  7. jkayner, Can you tell me what software you used to burn the VCD and the CDR's brand you used. Will the brand make any difference in playing a VCD in a DVD player.

The reason for using CR-RW is, first, I want to do some test VCD and see how it is coming. If I have problem, I can rewrite and see. CDR's I have to discard it.

Can you give in brief steps, the entire process of creation of VCD by you. I can check with my process and see did I missed something.

    Thanks, I appreciate your reply.
