I already have an Antec 900 case and a Nvidia 970 for my current build. The case is about a decade old so I don't know if that will be a factor or not. I am looking to do video editing and motion graphics mostly in 1080p, but I would like the option to do 4K as well. I have an external 2TB HDD and am planning on getting another internal SSD when one goes on sale. There is room for me to add to this build later.

You might take a look at a similar build I did last year:
    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/384584-Ryzen-upgrade-with-X1700-CPU-DDR4-RAM-and-M...ighlight=ryzen

I quit using air cooling entirely on high wattage CPUs several years ago. No problems at all.
Water cooling is very quiet, very efficient and easy to set up. And about the same price as your air cooler.
Of course it depends on your case. Mine had 120mm exhaust fans, and I was already using water cooling.

I used a 250GB M.2 as it was at the right price point then. At present it is still running about 75% freespace.
I only use it for boot and programs. Large files are on the HDDs.

Ryzen CPUs and some motherboards are very touchy about RAM. Make sure you get RAM that is recommended by your MB manufacturer.
I use 16GB, which is plenty for my apps.

I also run W10 Pro with Start 10 to 'fix' the menu screens.

    And welcome to our forums.

EDIT: This thread would be better in the Computer Forum. Moving it.

Any major reason you are planning to use a Mini-ITX MB? A Mini-ITX MB is about a 17 × 17 cm (6.7 × 6.7 in) motherboard. Is your case that small?

I would at least look to a Micro-ATX MB. A Mini-ITX MB may bolt up to your case. but check the case specifications. An Antec Nine Hundred is a 'mid-tower'case.
I personally wouldn't recommend a Mini-ITX MB unless you plan on just making a HTPC.
