How can I open a video in the same window as a currently playing video, so that it stops the currently playing video and starts this new one, through the command line?
I already tried `potplayer.exe "filename" /same` and that didn't work.

that's the default behavior if you set general-multiple instances-disable(play files in existing...). "potplayer.exe filename /new" opens a new instance ignoring the multiple instance option. /same switch seems irrelevant to this thing

So if i have multiple instances enabled there's no way to open up a new video within the same window as an already playing video through the command line?

Do you know if there's a ctrl+v command? Cuz if I control v a link into potplayer it right away stops the already playing video and starts playing the new link

hey, i talked to the developer and he's gonna add a switch which does the job you want. try potplayer filename /current in the next dev build.
