    And only being able to cut on key frames/every 0.5 seconds isn't going to cut it (no pun intended).

    Maybe Smart Cutter Ps/Ts. But it's not free.
    Most editors that can cut on other than keyframes need to re-encode at the cut point to create a smooth video.

    This is generally referred to as 'smart rendering'.

    Other members may have better suggestions.

    Smart Cutter isn't working on my mac for some reason. It still shows "demo" in the preview box, and when I click "next," it only goes a few frames before stopping.

    I clicked "options" hit "activate key code" after entering in the code, and it claims "Program activated," but no change in how it's (not) working.

    Any idea what might be wrong? I'm running 10.11.6.

    MPEGStreamclip is perfect. Super easy to use and no-rencoding. If you want to cut the beginning or end select an in and an out and use Trim. If you are looking to cut in the middle, select an in and an out and choose Cut. Then Save. Great program.
