    your best bet is to use VirtualDub 1.4c, NOT 1.4d, because MS requested that support be removed apparently. others will correct me if i'm wrong.

    anyways... use virtualdub to convert them to avi's, and join them with peck's power join for a quick and dirty result. works great for me. avi's will remove the buffering that asf's require when playing in media player.
