  1. This is called alt mode, and there are some specifications in regards to its operation. Mainly due to hdmi rights restrictions you cant get more than 1.4b output, so theres a 4k@25 limit. What i want to know, since i got a usbc-hdmi dongle for my Samsung Note 8 Mobile

-so the graphics travel until the usbc port, then via the usbc there some kind of a conversion i suppose that transcodes signal to hdmi, and then it gets delivered to the Monitor of preference? So this is not a lossle procedure, in the same way you would have a direct hdmi-hdmi connection right?
-Do i have any control over this type of signal conversion? And is it any better than the smart mirroring, that mobile devices now offer, and Smart TV support internally as well? Reason i ask is i already got smart mirroring working, but then paid for a Samsung DEX, which only did up to fullHD. Was a waste of money, and today i purchased an official Samsung usbc-hdmi adapter. I want to know whats the best way to do this
-What dod i do if i want more than 25fps at 4k coming directly off the phone?

There is no conversion to/from USB for AltMode. Alt Mode allows the USB C port to provide non-USB signals on some of its pins.

If you haven't already done so, you need to check to be sure that Alt Mode is available on your mobile's USB C ports, and that it supports HDMI output. Some USB C connections support DisplayPort Alternate Mode, and other USB C connections are just USB 3.1 ports.

[Edit] I went ahead and looked at the Samsung Galaxy Note 8's specs. The specs say: "With cable: supports DisplayPort over USB type-C. Supports video out when connecting via DisplayPort cable (DisplayPort 4K 60 fps)". I guess the adapter you bought isn't a simple cable and should allow you to connect the phone to a 4K TV. Technically, it must be a DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0a adapter.
