I use both DVDFab and Handbrake. Both application turn my BD rips into mkv files but the result stutters. This only seems to happen with certain movies, especially animated ones. For instance, I own Corpse Bride (and dozens other animated movies like it) but I want to make a small MKV files to watch them on my Tablet. No matter what setting I use in either Fab or Handbrake, I get some kind of stuttering artifact. I prefer to use DVDFab as it does a far better and faster render all around at the absolute lowest settings than Handbrake. Any insight? Is this some kind of copyright mechanism?

for dvdfab, click the arrow in the upper right hand corner of the dvdfab interface - click common settings - av codec - and switch everything to
software, restart dvdfab and retry your discs again.

I did that before but I tried it again and still same stuttering. It's really odd.

does your graphics card have the latest driver update ??
might also try rolling back to an earlier driver if the latest still doesn't work.

    Checking now...
There was an update available. It's updating.

Update: Same thing. Updating didn't improve frame rate in both playback or rendering.
