Ever see a Japanese newspaper or magazine? Even the print ads are odd.

Tell me about it! Lived there for over 12 years.

  4. It has been confirmed that IO DATA USB2 can support PAL. But there is no other model support. I recently bought a CANOPUS DXV E-1 looking for win7 64 driver Has anyone given me installation instructions

  5. Looking over the internet, there's no win7 drivers and on the glassvaley forums they say there will never be one.

What I use to capture NTSC and PAL is the Canopus ADVC-100.

This was a capture from a VHS source with ADVC-100 and latter stored in a MiniDV tape.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq42bnlm6OQ

The good about it, aside the great quality capture capability, is that it doesn't choke or stop capture with bad VHS tapes. The captures keep going pretty stable.

This one is the worst tape I ever captured, the original was PAL-M, then converted to NTSC, the person did a dozen copies of the 5th generation tape and one of this copy landed on my hands.
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=1s&v=3sjHq_e-ZeA

The tape had a lot of glitches, the second half of it (around 52 min) was very unstable, recorded on EP or lower speed, the screen was shaking at the top but as you can see, the capture is rock solid. There is a time when the the tape is havy damaged but the capture continues still.

Try to find a ADVC-100 first generation models, don't know about the ADVC-110 and latter.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQZob5zjewk I prefer this effect. I'm sure it is the effect of the NEC chip because IODATA is also such a chip. I have bought a CANOPUS DXV E-1 but she is not WIN7

  7. If you really want to use this outdated hardware, all you have to do is to consider getting an old computer, install Windows XP on it to capture whatever you need. Or backup your stuff and try to do a dual-boot between your current OS and XP.

You can also try your luck with Linux, it might have the necessary drivers to make this work again with a modern computer.

I discussed it with a capture person in mainland China. First of all, the capture S terminal generally supports only (720SD), and only individual devices can support 1080. This is a problem with the chip. Can be considered is decklink and canopus AJA (this is good for MAC support) but DECKLINK seems to need to convert AV. Causes color problems.

IO DATA Is there a PAL PCI capture card? You lived in Japan and told me next.

  10. Sorry, it's hard to understand you.
Back in my days in Japan, I never liked IO Data brand or products because a bad experience with a Magneto Optical DRIVE, I rather prefer Buffalo's.

Why you are so fanatic about IO DATA?

Do you know Blackmagic Intensity Pro?
It has all the inputs you need to capture your stuff, it has a model for USB 3 or Thunderbolt (Mac), it works with Windows 7 and does capture PAL. If your PC doesn't have a USB 3 port, you can buy a USB 3 PCI board.

OK, now I deleted my point of view

IODATA claims that their product PCI has a certain amount of memory as a row TBC, a ghost reducer, and DNR technology.
IODATA with NEC chip exceeds LSI or DVD burner level of Panasonic chip
Can you recommend NEC chip S-vidoe native capturecard? Support WIN7 64 is best to support potplayer

NEC series chip Japanese manufacturers: IODATA canopus and Buffalo's.
    Ghost Retarder+Line TBC+DNR=JVC TBC(i think)720 NTSC.

  13. Visual key calculus statistics:
720SD: If S-VHS+NEC IC can exceed DVD quality, see youtube proof.
With LSI chips it is difficult to exceed DVD quality.

I bought many VHS digital discs from large commercial publishers in Japan on DMM. If they look at the color vision, they should be IODATA devices.

  18. Sorry, still can't understand you.

ADVC-100 uses NEC UPD72893AGD and Philips SAA7114 and captures NTSC (720x480) and PAL (720x576).

All this are captures samples from ADVC-100 using S-Video

    If you need a TBC:

Some say that Hauppauge has a internal TBC

    This helps?

    ADVC-100使用NEC UPD72893AGD和Philips SAA7114,捕捉NTSC(720x480)和PAL(720x576)。
Friends, what you said was like ADVC's front interface box. I refer to the analysis of canopus editing card. It seems that you should look at the main card design. Usually Japan's top capture card consists of an interface switch and a master card. Thank you
