    Hello.

I have this common problem with megui
I encode an MKV video in a mp4 and everything seems to be OK. But is happened to some people that when they get the file it doesn't have sound.

I noticed that when I upload the video to MEGA, (which now has an online player included) it does not have sound in that player, but this doesn't happen for example on YouTube or Facebook.

The process I use to encode is the following:

    Megui:
    Tools > AVS Scrip Creator
Video Imput > File Indexer > Save > Auto Encode
    Not target size > Queue

Why does this happen? What can I do to fix it?

If not, can someone recommend me an encoder that allows encoding subtitles .ASS and choose how much weight in megabytes will it have at the end?

    Hope someone can help me.

  2. If the video is H264, why not just use MkvToMp4 to change the container without reencoding?

Otherwise, post a MediaInfo text printout of one you say doesn't have sound for some people.

Please use MediaInfo to check whether there is an audio stream in the file at all; if there is, then the reason could as well be that the players of "the other people" don't support this audio format, so they may have to install a decoder or select a different player/browser which is able.
