    Hi

I bought some DVDs of old TV recordings but the picture and audio skip at around 1:03 and then every 33-34 seconds. It's only for a second but makes it unwatchable really.

    Can anyone please help?

I've uploaded one of the vobs to show you:-

    and the IFO file:-

    Many thanks!

I played the vob and I did not find it as bad as you described.

There is some stutter probably from dropped frames in the capture. If you have what you describe then as well as that you could have a poor burnt disk.

Suggest that you rip all the files to your HDD and re-burn with quality media.

  5. You can replace the missing frames with motion interpolated frames in AviSynth. But you will have to go through the video yourself to locate all the missing frames. Then use a function like InsertFramesMC() to insert new frames. Your script will end up looking something like:

    Code:
    Mpeg2Source("VTS_02_1.d2v", CPU2="ooooxx", Info=3)
    QTGMC(preset="fast")

    InsertFramesMC(8284,2)
    InsertFramesMC(6608,2)
    InsertFramesMC(4908,2)
    InsertFramesMC(3184,2)
Of course, with a jerk every 30 seconds you'll have 120 InsertFramesMC lnies every hour.
