All I'm trying to do is create a file that will burn to a DVD+R AND be playable on an up to date 1st genration PS4. I would consider myself a novice, but I'm trying to learn. If someone would be kind enough to help me, you may have to walk me by the hand through the steps, and I apologize for that. I have a lot of video editing software, but the burning software I mostly use is Ashampoo 16, only one I really, kinda, sorta know how to use...lol...I've Googled the hell out of this and got nowhere. I really don't know what else to do.

Some of the video software I have, but a noob at using all of them...

    tsMuxerGUI
    imgBurn
    BD Rebuilder
    MKVToolNix GUI
    MKV2AC3
    MeGUI
    Any Video Converter
    ImTOO Video Converter Ultimate
    Wondershare Video Converter

Maybe I just don't have the software to get the job done or the smarts...lol

    Quick question...

Why are you using a big font?

    And mine's bigger.

I apologize, I'm legally blind. Sometimes I have problems seeing small text. I wasn't trying to annoy anyone, I'll go smaller, if need be. Sorry.

  4. For an easy way to accomplish the task, try AVStoDVD - available from the software section on Video Help. Since you already have ImgBurn installed, which it uses to burn the final product, it should not ask you install that, but decline if it does ask. AVStoDVD is pretty easy to understand but there are guides to help with the task.
Since you are doing a DVD, it does make a compliant DVD that should work on the PS4, but I cannot answer to that, as I do not/have not used a PS4.
Come back if you have more questions.

Well, when I loaded the video file into AVStoDVD it gave a pop-up warning saying since the file included an AAC codec & the file is at high risk of out-of-sync audio & video.

    Any suggestions?

  7. Are you sure that your file can't be played on PS4 without conversion? this type of files was played on PS3 without any issues (container, audio+video codecs supported on PS3) - perhaps you can just copy file to your video folder without conversion (seem PS4 is unable to play files directly from USB). Accordingly to PS4 Media player supported file types everything is OK

Yes, this was no issue on the PS3, but the PS4, it seems to be an issue. I looked up the PS4 Media Player & it shouldn't be a problem. I have tried burning the file just the way it is & it says disc is unsupported, doesn't give a reason why. Crazy.

Did you try to copy your file to video folder on PS4?

Not sure how to do that on the PS4. I used to be able to copy/save files to the PS3. But that actually wouldn't help me, I enjoy having physical copies.

Now that you guys have helped me with that issue, I have another for you...lol...Using ConvertXtoDVD, I can't seem to figure out how to save the output file to my HDD. It just burns it to a disc. Burning it is fine, but I'd also like a copy on my HDD, created menus and all. Any ripping program suggestions?

    I haven't used ConvertXtoDVD in a while,
but under the 'General' tab, there should be a 'working folder' location.
That should hold your completed DVD files. If you copy those,
you should be able to edit or do what you want with them.

They are automatically deleted when you burn unless you de-select that option.
You may be able to cancel the burn also, but set the tab so it doesn't delete them first.
