VLI VL805 USB 3 controller

I just bought a pci express usb 3 controller based on VLI VL805 chipset and it came with drivers for Windows 7. Even though I don't plan to "upgrade" soon, I am wondering if the controller will work under Windows 10, as I can't find any drivers to download?

in principle Windows 10 has drivers for usb 3.0 built in but i'm not sure this is true for Via

I downloaded the latest Windows 7 drivers from the above link and it's a good thing that these were recently (2018-03-02) updated. However, there is no mention about Windows 10.

Check vendor site - VIA driver may not work with your card due possible firmware differences. Seem vendors providing working Windows 10 drivers for this chip.

I checked a few vendors and I did not find any Windows 10 drivers for their VLI VL80x based products.

However StationDrivers reports that they are up to Windows 8.1 (you need to test if 8.1 working on 10 by yourself).

Perhaps VIA didn't pay for certification then you can consider your HW as abandoned (quite common nowadays) also VIA is not most reputable brand and overall driver quality may be lower (seem software from all China/Taiwan vendors is low quality) - perhaps i'm very old guy but i learn that best USB IC with best (lower number of problems) drivers are from NEC (now Renesas).
Not sure about Windows 10 but i had impression that any XHCI compliant HW should work with generic driver provided with system.
