  1. Has anyone had any trouble in getting MeGUI with Avisynth 2.60 32-bit (non-MT version) to work in Windows 10? I've installed Avisynth in Windows and I've got my plugins in C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins. Is there anything else I need to do to get Avisynth working (apart from MeGUI settings which I've already got setup). For example do I still need to mess about pasting files such as MSVCP71.DLL into C\Windows\SysWOW64 like I had to do in Windows 7?

I've noticed that the Video tab > Rate Control tab > "Nb of Frames for Lookahead" setting is set to 10 on my MeGUI. But the default is 40. I can't remember why I would have changed it to 10. What does the "Nb of Frames for Lookahead" setting do and any ideas why I would set it to 10? Should I just leave it on the default setting of 40? I'm using the Bluray compatible flag.

Does a KeyInt setting of 250 override the "Nb of Frames for Lookahead" setting?

I also had a Subpixel Refinement setting of 2 instead of the default of 7. Is 2 needed for Bluray compliance as I can't remember why I changed to that setting?

Do not copy Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime DLLs manually into system directories. Install the runtimes instead. There are even All-In-One packs which are supposed to spare a bit of space and make the installation more convenient, I read in several sources...

Apart from that: It is recommended to install MeGUI outside of C:\Program Files... because it stores settings in its installation directory branch (just in case you did).

Where can I get the Microsoft Visual C++ all in one packs?

Groucho2004 mentioned a Microsoft Runtimes AIO x86/x64 at repacks.net (download via mega.co.nz) in the doom9 forum. Use only if you don't have any runtimes installed already (or uninstall first).

Another "Visual C++ Runtimes AIO" pack is the one by rickendo, repack.net admin (but a little older).

I prefer the original Microsoft installers and Windows updates; the offline update install media builder from wsusoffline.net can be configured to only download MS Visual C++ Runtime installers.
