Hello,
I am new to this forum so forgive me if I have posted in the wrong thread.
I've burnt an .mkv file to DVD using Toast but there is no audio in the playback.
In the past, in order to burn to DVD, I've converted .mkv files to .mov and it works (usually) without a problem but this time the conversion left the audio/video completely out of sync!
Would be grateful for any advice.
Thank you in advance.

A bit more information may help
MKV files can contain many different audio formats so it depends a lot on the media player you are using if it supports the particular audio format of the audio in the MKV file.
Post a MediaInfo report on the MKV file this will reveal the contents of the MKV file, video, audio and subtitles, chapters etc
Are you Authoring the file to produce a normal DVD to play in a standalone player ie with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders? Or are you simply burning the MKV file to a DVD blank as data?SONY 75" Full array 200Hz LED TV, Yamaha A1070 amp, Zidoo UHD3000, BeyonWiz PVR V2 (Enigma2 clone), Chromecast, Windows 11 Professional, QNAP NAS TS851

Thanks for responding so promptly netmask56 but I'm some distance from the techies on this site so please bear with me.
How do I extract the Mediainfo report?
I'm simply burning the the .mkv file to a blank DVD.

Run MediaInfo and select the MKV file for it to inspect - then set the View in MediaInfo to TEXT. Then you can simply copy and paste the report into a post. It would look like this
