The only Mac ripper I've found is DVDExtractor. It works flawlessly in OS 9, but can sometimes do unexpected things in Classic mode via OS X. The interface is nothing like the SmartRipper GUI.
Of course at this point, I'm just happy theres a ripper for the Mac, period! -
I use to use DVDextractor, but now I use YADE. It is much better and faster, plus it has a preview window so you can tell what you're ripping before you start it.

Yade stand for Yet Another Dvd Extractor. It is much faster than DVD extractor. Plus it has a preview window, useful if you want a widscreen/full screen version of a film so that you'll know which one you're ripping. It is now what I use. I'm working on a new guide which explains it's use because I now only use YADE for my VCD creation.

Thanks for the reply's, ok now 1 more question, That YADE sounds good, where could i possibly download a trial version of this program from & do you think thats the best program out there right now & the easiest to use?
the edit window sounds real good as i am still a newbie to it all.
thanks -
Thers is no trial version. it's FREE. download it at http://www.opuscc.com/download/FTP/yade.sit I personally love it. It is now the only ripper I use.

I tried YADE last night and I'm not impressed (not that I'm bowled over by DVDExtractor) ... I downloaded the "YADE Carbon" sit file and executed the app in OS X. The preview didnt work, although it showed the chapter/track/scene information that DVDExtractor does. Ultimately, I decided to delete the YADE files.
I wished DVDExtractor worked in OS X, but I guess you can't always get everything you want. -
Thanks TGPO, i will definetly check that link and try the program out. Can you just make an image file then burn that image of on the blank, with any dvd disc? ( meaning wether it be music dvd, game dvd, or movie)
if anyone knows also of any others that are similar please post. thanks again for the help all!
Peace -
I'm not sure if you can create images. I've never tired it.

This is for anyone who wants to make PS2 DVD backup in OSX.
A Mac with DVD burning capabilites is needed (ex. new iMac).
Launch Toast
Insert DVD game in drive
Hit Command - D (copy to HD)
Insert DVDR
Take that toast image and burn it at 1x with Bufferunder run OFF
You're done!
Obviously the back up wont work if your PS2 is not modded to play DVDR's.
