For analog and digital sources. I don't think WinDV and Enosoft DV Processor have this feature.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

minDV and HDV are not "capturing" anything. it's more of a direct file transfer, what's on the tape is what ends up on your computer so no i don't think it was ever possible to pause and resume. if you pause the camera the file on the computer is closed and you'd have to start up a new file if you pushed play.

How about for analog sources when using a Canopus DV box?

Yes it safer but it will save time if I can do it on the fly / realtime. Like how I always copy DVDs on the fly.

Enosoft DV Processor seems to able to pause and then continue capturing but I've only tested on a short few mins analog video. I'll see if it works on a 2-6 hours video.
